Bears Facial Features
Thread needle on first tail of an ear and placing ear where you want it run thread though the head and out where it will attach to body (at neck), repeat with other tail exiting right next to first tail at neck. Tie the two ends together with a square knot, then hide ends in head by sewing back through the head and out, pull thread tight and snip, the end should disappear inside. Repeat for other tail. Then repeat for other ear.

Sew on eyes in similar fashion as ears. Thread a bead on a length of strong thread, and then thread each end and attach eye as you did ear.

Embroider facial features, such as nose, eyes and eyebrows using the metallic thread or other thread that will give you the look you want.

THREAD JOINING

With strong Dental floss threaded on a sturdy needle long enough to go through body of bear, leaving a long tail, insert yarn at spot on body where its left leg will join, exit through the top of the body at neck. Take a deep stitch in the bottom of bears head and go back through neck in same hole, exiting out right leg joint. Take a stitch in the top inside of the leg that will go on the bears right (where you want the joint) and insert needle back into body at the same place it came out exiting at the left joint where you started. ( you have formed a triangle of sorts). Now take a stitch in the corresponding left leg. Now tie together the tail you left at the beginning with the thread on the needle. TIE VERY TIGHTLY and make at least 3 tight knots. They should be hidden in the joint of the leg. Hide the ends in the body. Next attach arms by entering in one joint, exiting out the other and catching the arm as you did the leg and re-entering body and back out where you started, catching other arm, then pulling tightly and knotting as you did for the legs. Your bear should now be posable. If they are too loose to hold position you need to tie more tightly and I highly recommend the floss.
